For as long as we can remember, there has been inequality and discrimination in all aspects of life for all kinds of “minorities”. For example, Jackie Robinson was the first African-American to play in the major leagues in 1947, due to the heavy discrimination within the sport. Eminem was racially discriminated as a white rapper in a primarily African-American genre of music; so let’s be fair, it goes both ways. For all of the injustices currently taking place in our society, I’ve always wondered, “there has to be a resolution, there has to be a fix”. This is why you need to build your own.
All over the world, people suffer and fight all sorts of inequality. The feminists fight patriarchy, African-Americans fight racism, LGBTQ fight for acceptance in society. Some people believe that there is no foreseeable solution, but that is far from the truth. There is a solution, not an easy one, but necessary sometimes: Build your own!
Why Should I Build My Own?
Entrepreneurs are quite familiar with this concept, especially minority business owners. Many former employees have run to entrepreneurship to escape jobs with unfavorable conditions and lack of freedom. We all enjoy the freedom of making our own choices. Having the free will to decide the direction of our lives is very important. Wouldn’t you agree?
For example, it is common to see minority business owners create a business where other minority groups will have a higher chance of being accepted. This method can be used for all systems where morale is a problem. In my experience, the objective of anyone (who was previously unfairly treated) is that of openness and transparency. It’s a totally different mindset, one that brings people together.
Some of the most successful systems, governments, and institutions were built by individuals who felt like they weren’t treated unfairly in their previous positions. These groups tend to do better than the conventional ones because they are usually formed by people of a like mind, looking to solve the same problem.
This is more than business ownership or entrepreneurship, to me, it is about building a life and legacy that you can be proud of. It’s about creating a system where people can have the assurance that they won’t be treated unfairly simply because of who they are. If you are unhappy with the treatment at your place of work, I urge you to build your own!
Why I’m Campaigning For Entrepreneurship
I encountered the same disdain for my job, so I left. Actually, I was fired. However, being fired was one of the best failures of my life. After a few years of paying dues, financial success finally arrived. What I then realized was that I had already won. Yes, I had already won. The goal is freedom, flexibility, owning your most precious asset, time. This feeling was so great, I figured, everyone needs to know about this. Maybe we need evangelists for this cause, I am willing to be one. This is why I am campaigning for entrepreneurship.
Ownership is the key to wealth and economic freedom. I am not just talking about it, I am here to help you bring your dreams to life. So, I created my Power Circle to do just that. Sign up to join my Power Circle at FloydPhillips.org. My Power Circle is a group of business mentors ready and willing to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in the pursuit of their dreams. We’re really here to help you win.
In my humble opinion, building your own is the only way you can truly control your life, destiny and freedom. Get started building your own today and your life could change in an instant!
